Our journey didn’t start in a professional kitchen or a TV studio — it started with one simple dinner party. Years ago, while hosting a few friends, we recreated a Moroccan tagine we had once tasted on a trip. The room fell silent as the aromas filled the air. One guest teared up — it reminded her of her childhood. Another begged for the recipe. That night, something clicked: food could transport people — not just through taste, but through emotion, memory, and culture.
That moment changed everything.
With our kids grown and our hearts craving new purpose, we decided to follow that spark. We sold our second car, packed our bags, and set off to discover what food means around the world. From rolling sushi with locals in Kyoto to learning to knead injera dough in Ethiopia, we’ve spent years immersed in kitchens far and wide — learning, tasting, and sharing stories with people whose recipes carry centuries of tradition.
