Mshosh (Armenian: մշոշ) is a traditional Armenian dish made with lentils or beans, to which are added onions, nuts and dried apricots. It can be eaten hot or cold, can be served as a side dish or as a main course, and can also be offered as an appetizer, spread on lavash. Mshosh is considered one of the oldest Armenian dishes and is associated with the Van region. Its name derives from an abbreviated form of the word մըշոշ ("myshosh"), which designates a type of wild apricot. --- Entry compiled automatically from [Wikidata](https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q136842110) and Wikipedia.
