Muesli or musli (from Alemannic: Müesli or Birchermüesli) is a mixture of cereal flakes, usually oat flakes, seeds and dried fruits.
It is usually consumed at breakfast mixed with milk, plant or animal milk, yogurt or white cheese, and enhanced with chocolate or fresh fruit. It is very common in Alemannic Switzerland, the region where it originated.
In French-speaking Switzerland, it is generally referred to as bircher-muesli, abbreviated as bircher, and it is also consumed at tea time and supper (evening meal).
