Parrozzo (pronounced: [parˈrɔttso]) or pan rozzo is a traditional cake from the Abruzzes region in Italy. It is traditionally served as a Christmas dessert, but it is also appreciated year-round. Parrozzo is officially designated as a traditional food product of the Abruzzes.
Created in Pescara in 1920, it is a round bread with almond paste and chocolate.
