Pasta mollicata, pasta ammuddicata or pasta con la mollica is a dish from southern Italy (Basilicata, Calabria, Sicily), made with pasta (generally ferretti or bucatini) and crumbled breadcrumbs (mollica in Italian). It is a so-called 'poor' dish that does not require expensive ingredients. The dish is prepared by browning crumbled breadcrumbs in olive oil to which garlic, onion, chili pepper, possibly tomato and a little red wine are added depending on the variations. --- Entry compiled automatically from [Wikidata](https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q3897489) and Wikipedia.
