Zeeuws spek (pronounced [zeːu(s) ˈspɛk]; "Zeelandic bacon") is a traditional Dutch bacon, originally a specialty from the province of Zeeland. Traditionally, it is seasoned with salt, pepper and herbs such as bay leaf, and slow-cooked.
